Charak Ostolief Gel is beneficial as a potent topical antiinflammatory , analgesic and counter-irritant. Karpoor ( Camphora officinarum ) , Menthol ( Mentha piperata ) , Oil of wintergreen ( Gaultheria fragrantissima ) and Marich oil ( Capsicum annum ) are counter - irritants and help relieve pain immediately.

Nilgiri oil ( Eucalyptus globules ) , Linseed oil ( Linum usitatissimum ) and Nirgundi oil ( Vitex negundo ) exhibit the analgesic and antiinflammatory effect. Ostolief gel targets the peripheral nerves and soft tissues at the pain site and reduces the pain sensation.
