Alka 5 syrup facilitates the passage of urinary calculi by diuretic, anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. Yavakshara is a potent urinary alkalizer with mile diuretic activity. Thus it reduces burning micturition. Shwetparpati is diuretic and anti-inflammatory in action. Coriandrum sativum possesses refrigerant, stimulant, diuretic and antibacterial properties while Cuminum cyminum acts as antispasmodic and antimicrobial. Tribulus terrestris, in Alka 5 syrup possess diuretic, lithotryptic properties, thus Alka 5 besides being a urinary alkalizer also facilitates flushing of urinary calculi.
